Topic: Barix Langhorne Post-Op Support Group - Wed. 9-19
Hi Everyone,

Main focus of this meeting are topics as they relate to post-ops, so please come by and share your WOW moments, as well as whatever else is on your mind.

The Place: 280 Middletown Boulevard, Langhorne, PA 19047
The time: 7 p.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m.

If you are celebrating a surgiversary, please bring any props (clothes worn prior to WLS, pictures), you will get 5 minutes to share what it was like, what it is like now and what you look forward to.

We have a nutritionist at every meeting and while all are welcome to attend our support groups, nutritional consults cannot be given to non-Barix patients, but if you feel in need of support we welcome you!

We recognize that there are times when babysitting might be an issue, however, we really would appreciate not having small children there, as there are times people have a need to discuss things that having a small child there inhibits their ability to discuss things openly and also the children often are a distraction. Thank you for your understanding.

Hope to see you there!

Laureen

My oldest daughter got married yesterday.  It was an outdoor wedding.  My surgeon and Nutritionist both told me to enjoy the festivities and enjoy the food.  I did just that.  I am so glad that I did NOT have to be on  my liquid diet for the wedding.

Yes I cried because they finally tied the knot.  My new son in law and I connected on the same wave yesterday and it was awesome and I am happy for the both of them.

Today, we celebrated my one grandson's 6th birthday (his b-day was on the 12th)...

OF all this, I survived seeing my ex husband.  He told me he was proud of me for doing what I am doing to get healthy.  We had a little talk and made amends...  His current wife and I got along great.

NOW to get back to basics for I fear I gained 10 lbs this weekend...  Woe is me for I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo  bloated.....   but it was well worth it.

Topic: RE: HELP! CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED
Hi,

I also couldn't afford to buy clothing that was going to be too large the following month, so I know where you're coming from.  A couple suggestions...

First, as I lost weight, what I couldn't give away to folks here or others I knew, I would offer on FreeCycle.  Someone would scoop them up almost before I finished typing my ad!  So, you might put an ad there asking for clothing in the sizes you want.

Second, try thrift shops.  They're everywhere and you can find some fabulous deals - even designer names, for pennies or just a bit more.

Good luck to you!

Lisa
